Breakthrough Quantum Computing Chip Sets New Standards for Supercomputing

In a monumental leap for the world of technology, a pioneering quantum computing chip has shattered performance barriers, paving the way for an era of computing power previously thought to be science fiction. Developed by a collaboration of leading tech companies and research institutions, this quantum computing breakthrough is set to redefine the landscape of computing, enabling unprecedented speeds and capabilities that could revolutionize industries across the board. Key Highlights of the Quantum Computing Breakthrough: Unprecedented Processing Power: Traditional computers use bits to process information, represented as 0s and 1s. Quantum computers, on the other hand, leverage quantum bits or qubits, which can exist in a superposition of both 0 and 1 states simultaneously. This inherent parallelism allows quantum computers to perform complex calculations at speeds that would be inconceivable for classical computers. Massive Quantum Supremacy: The newly developed quantum chip achie

AI-based tool can predict climate change stress for farmers: Researchers

A new Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool in a smartphone app can predict near-term crop productivity for farmers and may help them protect their staple crops, such as maize, cassava and beans, in the face of climate warming, say researchers. The AI assistant called "PlantVillage Nuru" is being used across Africa to diagnose crop diseases. The Penn State researchers rigorously tested the performance of their machine-learning models with locally sourced smartphones in the typical high light and temperature settings of an African farm. In these tests, the app was shown to be twice as good as human experts at making accurate diagnoses, and it increased the ability of farmers to discover problems on their own farms. "Our goal is to nudge behavioural changes that will help farmers prepare their farms to be climate ready," said David Hughes, associate professor of entomology and biology. "There are proactive behaviours, such as planting for increased crop dive

Google could soon search content based on screenshots.

A few days ago we heard Google rolling out a new feature in its Photos app wherein users could simply click an image with text in different languages and use Lens to convert it in the local language. The search giant now seems to be preparing to expand this feature even more. As found by 9to5Google in the Google app 10.61’s apk teardown, the firm may soon let users search for content by simply taking a screenshot of whatever is shown on it.  The feature is tipped as ‘Smart Screenshots’. It is said to combine two existing features ‘Edit & share screenshots’ of Google’s search app along with ‘What’s on my screen’ capability of the Google Assistant. Several references were found in strings of codes in the apk teardown. “Edit your screenshots, explore them with Lens, share them with a link, and more!” stated the first string of code. The new ‘Exploring with Lens’ feature can be seen below, once you take a screenshot. This will be in addition to regular editing tools including An
